I would just love to gush about how wonderful this wedding was to work! Standing in as Day-Of Coordinator for this wonderful couple (and friends!) was not only a pleasure but an honor!
From their rehearsal on Saturday in the not all-too-common Colorado humidity to the finish line Sunday evening. It was a an absolute joy.
Held at the Haystack Hearth in Niwot, Colorado; surrounded by nothing but green and leafy plants all around. The perfect day to get married. The Hearth was a stunning, intimate venue if you are ever looking for one in the Boulder/Longmont area.
The ceremony was setup nice and simple but so beautifully for an intimate glimpse into the union of the couple. With a smaller guest list, it provided the picture perfect place to get hitched! Though we definitely recommend having a Day-Of Coordinator, as their staff is very hands-off; friendly and helpful when approached, but they stay hidden most of the time. Our favorite part was the vows (naturally) but this time they had a twist. The couple told a "Once upon a time..." story about their love and how it brought them to this magical day, rather than traditional separate vows. Safe to say we all got a little choked up.
From there it was all smiles all around as guests enjoyed their cocktail hour and mingling while the couple ran off to take pictures with their photographer Ally Beck.
Dinner was scrumptiously provided by Word of Mouth Catering who created the best Gluten free and Dairy free meal I've ever seen! Really can't say enough about Tore and his staff!
The tables were set in a lovely, picnic-style fashion with rustic (and boozy) centerpieces to add just a touch more creativity to the already stunning landscape. The sweetheart table was, of course, the most unique, with their hand made 'Bride and Groom' Jack Daniels bottles!
Now I always tell my couples that rain on your wedding day is good luck... never did we expect a downpour to happen so quickly! Luckily Mother Nature held out just long enough for everyone to finish eating and wrap up their toasts before the monsoon began!
Huddled inside the Hearth, the couple played their hilarious 'How well do you know the Couple' Shoe Game and before anyone knew it, the rain had stopped just in time for the newlyweds to share their first dance.
The remainder of the evening was full of laughter, volleyball, incredible live music by Jonny Hazard, and love.
With all the major events over and drinks in hand, it was party time! Guests played volleyball getting down and dirty, others danced the night away, while we silently cleaned and gather belongings to make it easier to pack up at the end of the night.
I absolutely loved working with this couple (anonymous as requested!) from having the pleasure of capturing their engagement photos to Coordinating their big day; it's been a wonderful adventure and I'm actually sad to see it come to an end (on my part) but am beyond excited for them and what the future hold for them! I cannot thank them enough for asking me to be a part of this special time in their lives!
This wedding and couple were the very BEST to kick off our July weddings!
Thank you for reading and stay tuned for more tips, tricks and beautiful events!
Until next time!
